Applies learned technical knowledge to perform repairs, fabrication, modification and installation of electrical wiring harnesses, cables, wires, wiring assemblies and associated parts.

Duties: |
The Wiring Technician must have the technical knowledge to demonstrate a practical application of aircraft wiring procedures.
The ability to perform soldering and knowledge of tools and equipment required to perform required functions.
This position requires the knowledge to take on more complex wiring tasks, the ability to lead other technicians and to coordinate efforts to accomplish a task.
This position requires the ability to communicate with the project engineer/designer on any issues pertaining to the task.
This position receives technical guidance, as required from a supervisor or engineer. Work is reviewed for specific compliance with accepted practices and work assignments.
Technician will provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.

Qualifications: |
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 12 years of relevant experience.
Must be a US Citizen
Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. The Secret Clearance process will include requesting a credit history.

Physical Requirements:
A. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
B. Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices.
C. Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
D. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
E. May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
F. Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
G. Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
H. Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
I. May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
