| Project Manager-NPPES Owings Mills, MD Job Summary Responsible for supporting and managing IT SDLC phases and deliverables. Supporting IT SDLC activities includes understanding the business need, gathering requirements, and completing deliverables. Deliverables for this effort include: requirements specification, functional and systems design, test plans, RTM, test scripts, user guides, and other release-specific documentation. Managing IT SDLC activities includes developing effective relationships with internal and external customers, and creating and overseeing the successful and timely completion of the project and deliverables. This project complies with CMMI L3 standards and Section 508 accessibility standards. Specific duties to include: · Developing, finalizing and managing the timeline and other deliverables as required; monitoring the process for projects; managing the scope of projects to ensure they are completed in an accurate and timely manner according to the customer's and company's requirements; performing actual plan comparison for the project, identifying any deviation from the project baseline and requesting timeline extensions and/or additional funding; ensuring projects are meeting internal quality control standards and that internal quality control reports are prepared · Coordinating efforts and timelines with other projects and contractors as necessary. Identifying barriers and risk factors that may inhibit or impede the project and defining mitigation strategies · Managing customer expectations with regard to projects and working with the customer to turn ideas into future business opportunities · Providing assistance with and completing required documents to make and keep project CMMI level 3 compliant. · Providing direction and assistance to the project team to make sure all deliverables and phases of the SDLC are completed on time; ensure conformance to external, internal, and project standards. · Providing input regarding project management processes · 20% travel requirement Required Skills/Abilities - Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio
- Working knowledge of CMMI (level 3) processes and Quality Assurance concepts, methods, etc.
- Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- 5-7 years of recent IT experience in functional and analytical support of health care software applications
- Minimum three (3) years of experience and familiarity with Medicare and/or health care information system applications and technologies
Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or related field and experience specified above. |
