POSITION SUMMARY

As a Marketing Associate you will be responsible for maximizing sales/profit and customer satisfaction. You must project the professional image of our company to existing, prospective and newly acquired customers.

The Marketing Associate must be willing to work and live in a specified territory.

Duties:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Plan sales calls and strategies to meet objectives. This would include keeping abreast of current market trends, ensuring maximum gross profit margins, entering and monitoring orders through data entry systems.

•Collect accounts receivable from customers, deposit collections, communicate with Credit Department (regarding clearing customer and credit issues), and follow all guidelines contained in current Credit Policy and Procedures Manual.

•Provide menu analysis and produce menu revisions on Menu Pro for the customer,

•Build rapport and customer confidence in Sysco representatives and the company, and

•Communicate with and utilize all internal support systems, people and technology to satisfy the customer. (I.e. phone mail messages are picked up and returned promptly, develop an effective relationship with drivers in the respective territories, use of e-mail etc.).

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skill

•High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
•Excellent interpersonal skills,
•Strong planning and organizing skills,
•Previous experience in foodservice sales with a proven track record of results,
•Ability to identify and solve problems,
•Computer proficient (including knowledge of Microsoft office Products and Menu Pro),
•Must possess a valid driver’s license and adequate car insurance (both verified periodically).
