Description: | Description & Responsibilities:
Work with system engineers, testers, software developers, trainers and other program personnel to gather pertinent information and format it into useable manuals.
Create documentation templates, format content, and present information in a concise, understandable format.
Track document versions and revisions.
Assist in the analysis of requirements, and preparation f comprehensive outlines for technical documentation.
Incorporate review comments and corrections into existing documentation.
Assist trainers and other program personnel in briefs, reports, and other documents such as training materials, user manuals, briefs, test documents, installation procedures, and ConOps
Perform detailed editing of contract deliverables mentioned above
Monitor quality and ensure adherence to established standards.
Maintain formal website documentation and manage internal wiki.
| Qualifications: | Minimum Requirements:
Minimum ten years of technical writing experience preparing documents, reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences including senior management.
Experience in effectively formatting/editing technical publications to include writing, editing, and illustration.
Fluent in PowerPoint, MS Word.
Experience with Rational products. In-depth experience with word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and database software is required.
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Program Management, Systems Engineering or similar degree and meet the experience requirement OR equivalent documented combination of training and experience
Three years experience with an intelligence agency or SIGINT related experience.
Demonstration competency in the fundamentals of English writing, to include correct use of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure.
At least 5 years experience in technical writing and editing in engineering or computer science.
Demonstrated proficiency in fundamentals of research writing and editing and the ability to produce a variety of written materials.
Good understanding of electronics theory, including scientific and engineering terms.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with web publishing and editing
Wiki/Blog style communications
Ability to create detailed data flow diagrams and graphics
Experience developing computer graphics
Experience in computer based designed
Experience using Visio, Flash, or Dreamweaver.
